Cyclist punched in face for bike

A cyclist was left with a fractured cheekbone after a man punched him in the face for his bike.

Luke Rogers, 24, was walking along Mill Road in Stapleford when a white van pulled up beside him.

A man got out punched him and threw the black and white mountain bike into the back of the vehicle.

He then drove off from the scene, leaving poor Luke injured on the floor.

The attack happened at the entrance to an alleyway whichleads through to Northwood Street.

The attack happened at about 6pm on November 21.

The attacker was described as being white and about 6ft tall.

The bicycle is an adapted black and white Cube Fritzz mountain bike.

It has green detail and green custom pedals.

The frame number is WOW1923FM0911FEN14766.

A police spokesman said: “If you witnessed the incident or have been approached to buy the stolen bike contact Nottinghamshire Police.”
