A couple who were left devastated after sentimental pictures of their newborn baby boy were stolen from their West Hallam home have been offered a free photoshoot.
Kindhearted Cllr John Booth, who has just set up a photo studio above Chambers Pet Supplies in Bath Street, has said he will give the family a free shoot, after reading about the burglary on our website.
“I know his will not help their loss of images on the camera,” he said.
“But it will be something nice for them to have just before Christmas on the wall, I hope.”
Between 11.15am and 6.10am on Tuesday November 13, burglars broke in to a house in High Lane Central.
The Panasonic Lumix camera and memory card containing the photographs were stolen with a games console, laptops, golf equipment, a Blackberry and ladies’ and gents’ watches.
John, who is also an Erewash Borough councillor for Cotmanhay, said he will include large print.
Police have contacted the family to inform them of the offer.
Anyone with information about the break-in should call 101.
