POLICE have issued a fresh appeal after a bank robbery in Long Eaton in which the hammers were used.
At about 5.50pm on Monday January 31, two men in balaclavas smashed into Santander in High Street.
They used the hammers to damage the ATM and stole a box, thought to be empty, escaping in a dark-coloured Subaru driven by a third man, along Tamworth Road towards Sawley.
Det Sgt Richard Buxton said: “We believe the car was parked in Market Place car park prior to and during the offence. We would really like to speak to anyone who saw it and the driver or its occupants. We’d also like to find out where it went after it left the scene and if anyone saw it along that route.”
