Detectives investigating a robbery at a hotel in Long Eaton have released CCTV footage of the incident.

Three men broke into the Best Western hotel on Bostocks Lane and forced a member of staff to hand over cash from a safe.

The men, who were all wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered, then fled the scene.

No-one was injured in the robbery, which happened at about 2am, on Saturday, November 15, but staff were left shaken.

Speaking shortly after the incident, Detective Constable Gareth Jones, of Derbyshire police, said: “The hotel staff were probably settling down for a quiet evening and being threatened by three quite big masked men is not what they expected.

“Incidents like this shouldn’t happen.”

Footage of the men breaking in through the main entrance and going into the office area has now been released.

It is hoped that members of the public may recognise the clothing of the offenders, or might remember suspicious activity at the time of the offence.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 48446/14.

You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
