Man injured after break-in

A 24-YEAR-OLD man needed stitches after two thieves forced their way into his Ilkeston flat.

The pair, one wearing a red balaclava and the other with his hood up, burst into the property on Thatchmarsh Close on Sunday night at around 10pm.

They took two laptops, two mobile phones, a camcorder and some cash.

The resident was left with injuries to his head and forearm.

The man in the red balaclava is described as being 6ft tall and of a muscly build, he was wearing a camouflage jacket.

The other man was wearing a black hooded jacket and is described as being 6ft 2ins.

Both men were in their mid to late twenties.
