A 40-YEAR-OLD man woke up on the floor in Ilkeston town centre with a series of injuries – but with no memory of how he got there.
It is believed the man was assaulted between 12.30pm and 2pm in Bath Street on Friday as he walked from his friend’s flat in Pelham Street.
He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he was treated for a sprained wrist, facial injuries and a split lip.
He told police he could remember nothing about the incident apart from leaving his friend’s flat and waking up with a female police officer looking down on him.
A witness said they saw a man in his 20s or 30s, in a pink shirt and blue jeans, with grey-ish hair in the area.
Anyone with information should call police on 0345 123 33 33.
