Police and bomb disposal teams are currently searching a house in Kirk Hallam.

Officers are carrying out the search after acting on information.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested.

Police said there is nothing to suggest the safety of the local community is at risk, or that this is a terrorist-related incident.

Godfrey Drive has not been closed and no one has been evacuated.
