Police charge crown court 'muck spreader' with criminal damage

A man has been charged with criminal damage after allegedly spreading muck across the steps outside Derby Crown Court.

Charles Hirons, 49, of Nottingham Road, Draycott, is due to appear before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on April 5.

Police were called to the court building, on Morledge, at 7.10am on January 17 to reports that a tractor and muck spreader had pulled up outside the building and that muck had been sprayed.
