Two men have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a security van at an Ilkeston supermarket.
A masked man threatened a G4S security van driver at Tesco in Rutland Street and stole a cash box at about 2.15pm on Monday June 6.
A Derbyshire police spokesman said at the time of the incident that the box contained a ‘significant amount’ of cash.
The robber, who was wearing a balaclava, made off in a black Volkswagen Golf car, which was later recovered in Muskham Avenue in Ilkeston, and was believed to have been stolen in Leicestershire.
A 24-year-old from Bulwell and a 24-year-old from Nottingham have been bailed pending further enquiries.
The pair were arrested on Thursday June 16, but police only released the information this week.
