Burglars have stolen jewellery of ‘huge sentimental value’ during a raid in Sandiacre.

Several rooms of a property in Orchard Way were ransacked after the burglars forced open a rear door.

A 42ins Sony Bravia TV, a 32ins Samsung TV, a satellite TV box, DVD player, games console and leather bag with a silver Radley charm attached were taken.

Jewellery, including a 9ct solid gold patterned bangle, a pearl necklace, a gold pendant of the letter L and a 9ct gold engagement ring with three diamonds in a horseshoe shape, were taken.

Another 9ct gold ring with four claw-set blue sapphires with four diamonds around them and a solid silver cigarette case with engraving J. W. M. were also stolen.

Det Const Rob Nicholls said: “Many of the items taken in this burglary are of huge sentimental value to the owner and cannot be replaced. Some of them are distinctive, especially the L pendant and the cigarette case engraved with the initials J. W. M. so I’d urge people to be on the lookout for anyone trying to sell items of this description.”

The burglary was between 9.30am on Sunday March 24 and 12.45pm on Monday March 25.
