A SUSPECTED drink driver was hospitalised after colliding with seven parked vehicles in Ilkeston, police have said.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after the crash, which happened at about 11pm on Sunday in Wharncliffe Road, and was later bailed pending further enquiries.
A police spokesman said he was treated at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, for minor injuries after firefighters from Ilkeston and Heanor stations had to cut him free from the Vauxhall Combo van.
A Vauxhall Vectra, Vauxhall Corsa, Peugeot 206, Vauxhall Vivaro, Vauxhall Astra and a Ford Fiesta were damaged in the collision. It is thought a Rover van was written off.
The van was not registered to the driver who was arrested although it is not thought to have been stolen.
