THREE men have been charged after a fight on Friday night, which was believed to have involved a cricket bat and a shovel.
Joshua Barratt, 20, David Hadfield, 28, and Jake Truman, 20, were arrested along with an 18-year-old man at about 10pm in John Street after neighbours called the police.
A police spokesman said they had received reports that the men were arguing in the street and that one of them was carrying a cricket bat and another was holding a shovel.
Two of the men were charged with public order offences and possession of an offensive weapon. One was charged with public order offences.
The 18-year-old was released without charge.
The three men will appear at Derby Magistrates’ Court on June 24.
