THUGS broke a man’s ankle as he and his girlfriend waited for a taxi, police have said.
At about 2.30am on Saturday, October 1, the 22-year-old and his girlfriend were waiting outside Long Eaton Taxis in Tamworth Road when two cars pulled up beside them.
A man and woman got out of the cars, argued with the victim and assaulted him before driving off.
He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, where he was treated for a broken ankle and bruising to his face.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
