This car was recovered by police after a raid on a Cotmanhay convenience store last week.
Armed robbers smashed their way into One Stop in Charlotte Street using a crowbar as staff were closing up at about 11pm on Thursday.
One staff member had been emptying the ATM inside the store at the time and tried to run to the stock room at the back of the store where another member of staff was.
But the robbers pushed her to the floor and made off with a large amount of cash.
A witness saw the men get in to a silvery-green metallic car waiting outside with a third man in the driving seat.
The witness followed in his own car as the robbers sped down Cotmanhay Road and on to Awsworth Road.
The car crashed at the junction of Shilo Way and the three men were seen running off along Newton’s Lane.
Officers are appealing for information about the recovered car, which was stolen during a burglary at a house in Nottingham on June 21.
The car was using false registration plates which legitimately belong to a Honda Jazz.
Det Insp Hayley Barnett, leading the investigation, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who has seen this car in the Strelley area of Nottingham over the last two weeks or knows who has been driving it.”
The robbers are still at large.
They are described as all wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered. They were each about 5ft 11ins tall and of average build.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
