Cute pets are a responsibility

OUR competition looking for the area’s cutest pets has certainly sparked some interest across the area.

It is clear that a lot of our readers are real animal lovers who are very proud of their pets and want to share them with our town.

The Advertiser Pets on Parade contest is aimed at those proud folk who love their pets dearly and treat them like a member of their family.

But it is always worth remembering that while owning a pet brings a lot of rewards, it also carries a great deal of responsibility.

We are often contacted about problems with dogs off leads and dog mess left on the streets.

These irresponsible people give pet owners in our area a bad name.

But we know the majority of people in our area look after their pets the right way, from the smallest gerbil to the biggest dog. So don’t forget to take part in our competition if you think you have the best-looking pet in the area.

The winner of our competition will win £50 to spend at Chambers Pet Supplies with a £20 prize for the runner up.

If you want to be in with a chance in our contest them fill out the coupon in this week’s paper or send us our pictures and full details to
