Police say they are not treating a house fire in Stapleford in which a man died as suspicious.

Firefighters from Stapleford, Highfields and Arnold were called to the fire on Clarehaven at around 5.50pm on Saturday.

Crews used two hose reels and one safety jet to extinguish the fire before handing it over to police.

Nottinghamshire police has now confirmed a man's body was found after the blaze. No further details have been released.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
