Delilah the black rabbit is looking for a new home after a troubled start to her life. Karen Carter, manager of Derby’s RSPCA rescue centre, said: “Delilah is a gorgeous playful adult female.
“She had a very bad start in life as she was severely neglected.”
Delilah was found starving and very thin with overgrown nails before she was rescued by RSPCA inspectors and taken to the Abbey Street centre.
Karen added: “We are pleased to say that Delilah is eating her food happily and is gaining weight slowly.
“She will make a great indoor rabbit as she doesn’t like coming out of her cage too much at the minute.
“She adores to be stoked and fussed and will make someone a fabulous pet.
“She is a special bunny waiting for a special person and we really hope she finds them.”
