Derbyshire is gearing up for a tense evening as England take on Croatia for a place in the World Cup final.

There’s no doubt the country has fallen back in love with the international side again after years of disappointment.

Tonight will see England play in their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.

The county’s pubs will be jam-packed and millions of people will be watching from home as the Three Lions aim to reach the World Cup final for the first time since they won it in 1966.

Former Chesterfield schoolboy Harry Maguire scored his first goal for England in the 2-0 quarter-final win against Sweden and has been receiving plenty of praise for his impressive performances.

One fan even got a tattoo of Harry on his chest after taking to Twitter before the Sweden game to say he would get inked if he found the back of the net.

And talking of tattoos, this Chesterfield man is so confident England will win the World Cup he has already got inked celebrating the success.

While darts walk-on girl, Daniella Allfree, from Chesterfield, showed her support for Gareth Southgate’s team by sharing pictures of herself captioned ‘Come on England’ and ‘It’s Coming Home’ on Twitter.
