The theme park has launched a competition to find a panel of taste testers for its new restaurant, which opens next month.

The first of its kind in the UK, the new restaurant is set below a vast rollercoaster track where diners can watch their food tackle two loop-the-loops before dropping eight metres - the equivalent of two double decker buses - down the tornado spiral to their table.

The lucky winners will attend a tasting session at the new restaurant where they’ll get the chance to taste items from the new menu of family favourites, including the big bowl of lemon meringue mess, to make sure the food can endure the twisting tracks.

Gill Riley, Marketing Director at Alton Towers Resort, said: “This is a great opportunity for young food fanatics to check the menu is up to the challenge as its put through its paces on the track.

Parents looking for a dining experience with a twist can be reassured that the food has been approved by the choosiest family members, the children!”

For your chance to be on the kids tasting panel, send your name and age and 50 words detailing why you should win to [email protected]. For full terms and conditions, see www.altontowers.com/kids-tasting-panel.
