Young people are being encouraged to stay on the right track with a series of crime prevention workshops held at secondary schools around the county.

Derbyshire County Council is organising the programme for 13- and 14-year-olds which includes group sessions to encourage students to think about the consequences of their actions and consider how victims of crime feel.

Cllr Carol Hart said: “The project is proving to be extremely popular with young people and it’s clear to see the positive benefit it could have on their future.”
