An extra show for the enchanting Snow Queen pantomime in Long Eaton has been arranged after all 400 tickets for a matinee performance sold out in just over three weeks.
Erewash Borough Council says the popularity of the event and overwhelming demand for tickets means a second performance will take place at West Park Leisure Centre on December 19.
Councillor Mike Wallis, said: “There has been a terrific response and we have been overwhelmed by the demand from families to see this feelgood Christmas pantomime. The matinee sold out very quickly and so we have moved to stage a further performance to ensure young and old don’t miss out on what will be a spectacular festive treat. It’s a great value-for-money price for this professional show . . . so get your tickets now!”
The magical show, courtesy of touring theatre company Gary Starr Pantomimes, will see the leisure centre transformed into a fairy tale setting as the story unfolds of Gerda and her quest to rescue her best friend from the evil clutches of the mysterious Snow Queen.
The pantomime will be narrated by a giant, friendly polar bear and will feature an enchanting music score stunning costumes and scenery and lots of panto comedy to entertain everyone.
