Firefighters extinguished a blazing derelict building believed to have been a former petrol station.
The fire was discovered at the single-storey building on Tamworth Road, Long Eaton, about 10.15pm, on Monday, March 23.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said a Long Eaton crew used a hose reel jet and a main jet to extinguish the fire which involved blazing rubbish.
The property was ventilated and made safe by about 11.10pm.
Police were also in attendance at the site and a fire service investigation is due to take place to establish the cause.
