A leading accountancy firm in Ilkeston has become the headline sponsor for a fashion show to raise money for an autism charity.

Mabe Allen LLP accountants on St Mary Street will sponsor the event to take place at the Stick and Ribbon Boutique in Nottingham’s city centre and will see raffle prizes worth more than £400.

The show, which coincides with World Autism Awareness Day, aims to raise awareness and money for the Nottingham Regional Society for Adults and Children with Autism(NORSACA), the largest specialist autism charity in the East Midlands.

The sponsorship from the accountants follows on from their support for the charity’s 45th annual summer ball last year which was attended by celebrity TV baker Paul Hollywood and Sherwood MP Mark Spencer.

Ilkeston partner at Mabe Allen LLP, David Allen, said the company was delighted to be able support the cause for a second year running.

He added: “We believe that businesses have a responsibility to back local initiatives, especially those which make a huge difference such as NORSACA and its essential work with children, young people and families affected by autism.”

Funding manager for the charity, Melanie Howard said: “Local sponsorship aids our campaign to create local awareness .”
