Rachel Gascoigne, of Macmillan Cancer Support, is pictured here enjoying a free meal courtesy of the Sir John Warren on Market Place.
The Greene King-owned pub is offering Ilkeston Macmillan nurses a free roast dinner every Sunday throughout May to thank them for their hard work.
Macmillan is the company’s chosen charity after raising more than £2m in the last three years, and this is just one of a number of activities that the Sir John Warren will be doing this year to support the charity.
May also marks International Nurses Day - which is also the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth - so is a special month for nurses around the world.
Rachel, partnership manager at the charity, said: “We want to thank Sir John Warren and everyone at Greene King for their generosity in helping to show our professionals how much their work is appreciated. This is a truly lovely gesture and is a brilliant way to kick off our fourth year as Greene King’s chosen partners.”
To claim the meal, Macmillan nurses and professionals simply present Macmillan identification when placing an order.
