Fuel was spilled in the forecourt of a garage when a bus ran into a petrol pump.
The incident happened at around 6.51pm yesterday (Wednesday, January 14), when the single decker bus collided with a car in Nottingham Road, Ilkeston.
All the people in both vehicles were released before the arrival of the firefighters, from Ilkeston Fire Station.
The firefighters made the bus and petrol pump safe and applied sand to petrol that had been spilled.
One woman was treated by paramedics for neck pain and the fire crew left at 7.30pm.
