Good ofsted for council

Nottinghamshire County Council is celebrating after being rated ‘good’ in an Ofsted report following an inspection of its learning and skills provision.

Ofsted inspectors looked at two areas of work within the county council which are focussed on the delivery of community learning and skill-building – the Adult and Community Learning Service (ACLS) team and the Skills for Employment team.

Overall, the county council has been praised for its work in providing opportunities for people who have previously had poor learning opportunities or limited opportunities to learn.

Skills developed are used to benefit the individuals themselves and in some cases to benefit the local community.
