Detectives are trying to trace a Good Samaritan who intervened in a robbery .

Between 9.30pm and 10pm on Tuesday, October 20, a man, 18, was walking along Wilsthorpe Road, Long Eaton, when he realised two people and a cyclist, who rode off, were behind him.

As he approached the footpath which leads to Edale Close, he was grabbed and punched in the face causing him to fall to the floor. The robbers took his mobile and cash.

Someone told the robbers to leave him alone and the two people ran off.

The man who punched him is black with dreadlock hair. He was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a black fleece. He is around 6ft 2ins tall and in his 20s.

The victim is unsure as to the gender of the second robber but they are white and wore black bottoms with a red stripe down the leg.
