BRAVE seven-year-old Chloe Barker and her mum Katherine have had a whopping 10ins each cut from their hair for charity.
The Granby Junior School pupil had her long locks chopped at Klass Kuts in Cotmanhay this weekend to raise money and awareness for the Little Princess Trust.
The charity makes wigs out of donated hair to help children who have lost theirs due to cancer treatment.
Having seen the school secretary at her former school Charlotte Infants lose her hair Chloe decided to face the chop to raise awareness.
Katherine said: “I am dead proud of Chloe. She was a bit shocked when they first chopped it off – I was too – but we’re both really pleased with how it looks.”
The pair sent off their locks to the charity this week and have begun to collect the estimated £400 donated by residents, businesses and even two charity shops. To add your donations go to www.justgiving.com/katherine-barker.
