Derby College’s Food Hub at Broomfield Hall campus in Morley will be helping youngsters to grow their own potatoes next week as part of a half-term fun week.
Children will learn more about the vegetable, plant their own potatoes in pots to take home and join in free arts and crafts activities including potato printing.
The Food Hub will be open to families on Tuesday February 22, Wednesday February 23 and Friday February 25 between 10am and 4pm.
Head of Broomfield Hall Louise Curd said: “The half-term activities will be a fun way for families to join in potato-themed activities, introduce local people to the idea of growing their own food and to see what else we do.”
