The Rose and Crown in Morley is staging a series of spooktacular Hallowe’en activities to raise money for the NSPCC this half-term.

The pub, part of Vintage Inns, has recently partnered with the NSPCC to raise funds for the charity which works to protect children in the UK.

To kick-start the association, the Rose and Crown will be taking part in Go Green For Hallowe’en and will be welcoming families to join in the fun this half-term until Monday, October 31.

The team is inviting families to bring along their little ones to enjoy a range of games and activities, and ‘Go Green’ by wearing their best ghoulish green costumes.

Over the course of the week, there will be activities like ghostly story-telling, face painting and Hallowe’en games for little ones to enjoy, in return for a small donation to the NSPCC.

Vintage Inns’ Juliet Oosthuysen said: “The NSPCC is a charity which is very close to the hearts of both us and our guests. Go Green For Hallowe’en is a really great way for us to start our fundraising efforts and we hope that people will get into the spirit and join us over half-term for some spooky fun.”

Nigel Spencer, NSPCC director of fundraising, said: “We really value the support we receive from Vintage Inns and the contribution they are making to our fight for every childhood.

“This Hallowe’en we encourage you to get down to the Rose and Crown with family and friends for some ghostly green fun while at the same time raising money to help us keep children safe.”

In addition to its half-term week of Hallowe’en activities, the Rose and Crown will also be donating 25p from every meal ordered from its specials board to the NSPCC throughout October and November.
