Health check for pupils

STAFF and students at the Ilkeston campus of Derby College will get a health check today to make sure they get a healthy start to the new year.

The event, being held today, will include stop smoking support, gym activities and advice, blood pressure testing and information about healthy eating.

The event is part of the college-wide programme of support ranging from free and subsidised gym sessions and fitness classes throughout the year.

Principal David Croll explained: “The health and wellbeing of all our staff and students is a major priority and I hope that everyone will take this opportunity to drop by at the events to kick start the new year with information about the wide range of support and available for them at the college.”
