The Ilkeston Hospital League of Friends has purchased a patient monitor for use in the minor injuries unit. The piece of equipment is used to record patients’ blood pressure and vital signs when they arrive in the unit for treatment. It cost £3,920, which was paid by the League of Friends as part of their policy to provide the best possible service to the communities served by the hospital. Chairman Eileen Knight said: “Funds are there to be used for the benefit of patients.”
