Parents across Derbyshire have received offers for their children to start primary school in September 2016 - but some may want to appeal their secured places.
And more than nine out of ten parents have secured a place at their preferred school.
However, some people across the county have been offered a place at a school they didn’t request on their application, meaning some people may want to appeal the decision.
A council spokesman said: “There is no automatic right to a place at a particular school.
“The small number of parents who have not been allocated their first choice have the right to appeal to an independent panel.”
The deadline for appeals is Tuesday, May 17.
