A man has been jailed after stolen items from a spree of burglaries in Ilkeston were recovered from his home.
Ashley Rogers had stolen a phone, computers and a safe from houses in Longfield Lane, Little Hallam Lane and Kingsway, which were all recovered from his home in Kingsway.
The 25-year old was arrested by officers investigating a series of burglaries in the town in December and January.
After pleading guilty, Rogers was sentenced to 21 months in prison.
Nottingham Crown Court heard on Monday, June 1 that he was guilty of handling stolen goods, theft and dishonestly making a false representation to make gain.
Detective Sergeant Joanne James said: “This sentence is the result of a meticulous investigation which led to Rogers’ arrest and the recovery of some of the stolen property.
“I hope this result gives the public reassurance that all burglary reports are investigated thoroughly and those responsible are dealt with by the courts.”
