The latest court results from Derby Magistrates’ Court.
Nathan Anderson, aged 33, of Corporation Road, Ilkeston, pleaded guilty to five charges including driving while disqualified, driving with no insurance and obstructing a police officer in the course of their duty. He was jailed for a total of 20 weeks. The offence was committed in close proximity to a the original ban and he chose to drive on two separate occasions for financial gain. He deliberately tried to mislead police to avoid detection.
Matthew Wood, aged 37, of Kensington Gardens, Ilkeston, pleaded guilty to assaulting David Cherry by beating him. He was fined £500, He will also pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £60 victim surcharge.
Public order offence
James Mitchell, aged 26, of Boweswell Road, Ilkeston, pleaded guilty to an offence under the Public Order Act of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress to Feyzullah Genc. He was jailed for eight weeks. This was a group offence using weapons and bricks. He will also pay a £80 victim surcharge.
Timothy Pritchett, aged 22, of Chertsey Court, West Hallam, admitted breaching a community order imposed by the court. He was fined £231.
Daniel Ennor, aged 31, of Derby Road, Stanley, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver believed to have been guilty of an offence. He was fined £660, will pay a £66 surcharge and costs of £80. Six points will be added to his license. Paul Hallam, aged 22, of Awsworth Road, Ilkeston, was convicted of being a person in charge of a vehicle, who caused the vehicle to remain at rest on a road in such a position as to involve a danger of injury to others using the road. He was fined £145 and three points were added to his license. He will pay a £20 surcharge and costs of £85. Harry Sharpe, aged 21, of Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, pleaded guilty to failing to give a specimen of breath when stopped by police officers. He was banned from driving for six months and fined £288. He will also pay £85 to the CPS and a £28 surcharge.
Daniel Marriott, aged 44, of Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, was convicted of breaching a restraining order by calling, texting, and visiting an address he was prohibited from doing. He was jailed for 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months. He will be under a curfew for two months. He will pay a £80 victim surcharge and £85 to the CPS.
Mark Seaton, aged 36, of Collingwood Road, Long Eaton, pleaded guilty to damaging three windows in Ilkeston to the value of £500 belonging to EMH homes. He was fined £120, will pay compensation of £300, £85 to the CPS and a £20 surcharge.
