The 21st Ilkeston Cubs are getting geared up for their forthcoming residential weekend at Rand Park Farm near Boston in early May. The group has received a grant of £550 from Councillor Michelle Booth, which will cover the cost of the bus journeys. See left for more.

During the weekend stay, the Cubs will be bottle feeding lambs and calves, egg collecting, mucking out, working on the allotment and butter making. They will also have time on pedal go karts, Skyrider, adventure playground, archery, crazy golf and play barn. Off site, there will be a walk to nearby Wragby and then an hour’s private hire of the swimming pool.

Scouting is open to boys and girls from the age of six. The 21st Ilkeston pack is currently in need of volunteer leaders for its Scout section. The group also needs adults, not only as leaders but helpers or administrators. Please contact Diane on 0115 9329979 if you are interested in finding out more.
