The 763rd Ilkeston Charter Fair proved to be as popular as ever.
One of the oldest and largest street fairs in Europe, the Charter Fair always attracts thousands of people when it rolls into town with some of the biggest and best travelling rides in the country.
The fair, which was opened by Mayor Val Custance, spread from Bath Street to the Market Place with white knuckle rides and family favourites like the ghost train and dodgems.
Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure, said: “Ilkeston Charter Fair has been enjoyed by generations of families from across the borough.
“It always brings such colour and excitement and generates such a great atmosphere.”
Our photographers were there to capture youngsters having fun on the rides. See if you can spot anyone you know.
