Face painting and balloon modelling were all part of the fun at a charity day held at The General Havelock pub in Ilkeston.
Families and regulars turned out on bank holiday Monday to help raise money for the children’s charity Wish Upon a Star.
Eight-year-old Benjamin Staniforth was also at the event. He plans to swim 185 miles -the length of the River Trent - to raise money for the charity. He will complete the challenge during the summer holidays at swimming pools across Nottingham. Last year he raised £4,700.
Wish Upon a Star grants wishes for children that have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.
