A GROUP of Ilkeston Calendar Girls have bared all in a bid to raise nearly £3,000 for charities close to their hearts.
Inspired by the 2003 film in which WI members stripped off for a calendar, Louise Gregory, Suzanne Dunbar and nine friends disrobed in the Dewdrop Inn for 12 saucy photos.
The ladies, all aged between 32 and mid-50s, are hoping to raise at least £2,700 to be split between Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation and Motor Neurone Disease Association, which have helped the girls’ close family and friends.
Louise said: “We, of course, were all very nervous about getting undressed in front of each other but we all knew that the calendar was for a good cause and had a good giggle in the meantime.”
Daniel Burton Imagery Photographers took all the photos and Blue Monkey Brewery contributed to printing costs.
The calendars are £10, with £9 going to charity. A launch party is on November 24 at the Dewdrop Inn at 7.30pm when they be on sale.
