“We have just been inundated with more agencies referring people to us than ever before,” said Kristian Thorpe.
The vast majority of the needy folk who pack out the church every Tuesday and Thursday are people at their lowest ebb – 90 per cent of whom are from here in Ilkeston.
Demand is now so high that the charity needs the town to step up and help however it can.
But Kristian said he is not just looking for donations, but they want businesses and residents to think outside the box.
This is why the ‘Tiser has agreed to be the first drop-off point for donations of tinned or dried food.
If your firm can become a drop-off point, or better still provide storage space – or even a van to help volunteers get out into the community, please get in touch.
Come to our offices in Heanor Road or visit the church with donations or offers of help.
Your town needs your help.
Look out for updates on our newest campaign in future editions of the ‘Tiser.
