A WELL-KNOWN Ilkeston woman died after a fall at her daughter’s home, an inquest has heard.
Jennifer Al-Baghdadi, known locally as Scotch Jenny, fell at Marie Higgins’s home in Meadow Street in Ilkeston on Wednesday May 4.
Giving evidence at Derby Coroners’ Court last Thursday, Det Con John Jordison, of Ilkeston police, said Mrs Al-Baghdadi, 60, was formally identified by her daughter at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham the following day.
Mrs Al-Baghdadi lived in Albert Villas in Station Road, Ilkeston.
Coroner for Derby and South Derbyshire Dr Robert Hunter adjourned the inquest, pending further investigation, to a date to be fixed.
