HUNDREDS of children enjoying their half-term holidays visited Erewash Museum to take part in free activities.
The musuem, just off the Market Place, hosted a discovery-themed week with arts and crafts and a science day where children signed up to take part in experiments.
Sublime Science, which has been featured on TV, ran the workshops that involved children taking the hands-on approach.
Cllr Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure, said: “Science and the whole world of discovery is such fun and so exciting for young people.
“I am delighted that our museum provided a whole week of activities on this theme. It was extremely popular.”

Cllr Mike Wallis, said: “This will be another wonderful family day out, full of authentic Tudor entertainment – and all for free. I know everyone who goes along will love the journey back in time and will delight in seeing Henry VIII hold court at our award-winning museum.”
