A TODDLER has been touring Ilkeston shops to get support for her own Comic Relief fundraising drive.

Kiera France, three, has been posing for photos with staff in the town’s shops in return for a £2 donation.

The money she raises will buy Red Nose Day tomato plants to give to her nursery friends as prizes for a drawing competition which she has also organised.

Kiera launched her fundraising mission after telling her dad, Rob, that she wanted to raise money to help poor children.

She started off visiting 25 shops in her home town of Heanor but has moved on to Ilkeston after her success.

Dad, Rob France said: “Kiera’s done this all off her own back.

“She said to me she wanted to help children for Comic Relief and have a drawing competition at nursery, I’ve just helped her get her ideas up and running.”

She needs to raise £60 to buy the plants and all of the money raised and spent on the plants goes to Comic Relief.
