Langley Mill fire leaves two in hospital

Firefighters from Ilkeston were called out last night to tackle a fire in Langley Mill which left two people needing hospital treatment.

The fire involved a large quantity of rubbish and a motorcycle and took place on wasteland near North Street at around 7.36pm on Friday.

The police and ambulance services attended and two people were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire and the incident was declared closed at 8.50pm.
