Long Eaton man arrested in connection with robbery and possession of a firearm


A 38-year-old man is due in court today (Wednesday, June 13) in connection with a robbery, an attempted robbery and two firearms offences.

Ian Watson, of Knightsyard Court, Long Eaton, was set to appear before magistrates in Derby following a joint investigation by Nottinghamshire Police and Derbyshire Constabulary.

Watson has been charged in connection with a robbery at the Borrowash Post Office on June 6, and an attempted robbery at Mahal Convenience Store in Trowell Road, Wollaton, on May 24.

He has also been charged with two offences of possession of a firearm.
