Groups in the East Midlands have just four weeks left to enter a TV Lottery funding competition that could see them winning up to £60,000 to improve their communities in time for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year, 2012.
The Jubilee People’s Millions is a Big Lottery Fund scheme run in partnership with ITV and with the approval of Buckingham Palace.
The competition is open to groups with ideas for community-based projects that improve places or the lives of local people.
This summer, a shortlist of projects will be showcased on ITV regional news and the public will vote to decide which projects receive the funding. The winning schemes will be up and running by 2012.
The deadline for entries is February 4.
