Man in court over death of Amy Gough from Sandiacre

A man has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of Amy Gough from Sandiacre.

Andrew Maling, 46, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address in the five-minute hearing at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Maling, of Sigglesthrone, near Hull, is alleged to have killed 34-year-old Amy Gough, who lived in Sandringham Road, between March 26 and March 29 this year. He will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on August 25.

Amy died at the Queen’s Medical Centre. A post mortem revealed that her death was suspicious.
