Man violently attacked and robbed in Heanor

The man was walking across fields from Loscoe Dam towards Berle Avenue when he was approached by three men at around 8.40pm on Monday, May 2.

One of the men asked him for money repeatedly and when the victim refused, he was hit in the face by a bottle.

He was then punched and kicked on the floor by two of the men.

They stole his wallet and ran off in the direction of the path that is known locally as the ‘white path’ which is near to Bailey Brook Drive.

One of the men was described as white, 6ft tall, of a stocky build and was 22-23 years-old.

He had short, dark hair that was spiked with gel, was clean shaven and had a tattoo on his right arm and a local accent.

He was wearing a light grey jumper, light grey jogging bottoms and white trainers. He was carrying a black drawstring bag on his back and was carrying a beer bottle.

The second man was white, 5ft 11ins tall, of a skinny build and was 22-23 years-old.

He had short brown shaved hair and a slim face. He was wearing a black, zip-up hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and brown boots and was also carrying a beer bottle.

The third man was white, 5ft 11ins tall, of a skinny build, 22-23 years-old and had short brown shaved hair. He was wearing a black bomber style jacket, a black hooded jumper and grey jogging bottoms.
