The 36th Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe has been installed.
Councillor Iris White was handed the chains of office to take over from Margaret Handley.
The Mayor will support two charities throughout this civic year.
They are the Treetops Hospice, a local charity that provides free respite and palliative care for adults with illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease and multiple sclerosis.
She will also support The Helpful Bureau in Stapleford, which aims to help people remain independent in their own homes. This includes providing practical services such as gardening, decorating, odd jobs and domestic services.
