FURIOUS tenants have organised a meeting with the chief executive of Three Valleys Housing after rewiring works have left them having to clean up the mess.
This week tenant Robert Buchanan asked Cotmanhay borough councillors Dave Morgan and Jon Booth to view the work the housing provider had done in homes in Nelson Street and Beatty Walk before handing them £100 Wilkinsons vouchers to spend on re-decorating.
Residents said the vouchers did not cover their re-decoration costs leading Three Valleys to up their offer but the tenants are still not happy with the situation.
The work is now planned to be rolled out to other houses in Ilkeston.
Chief executive of the firm Paul Eastwood will meet residents and the two councillors on the corner of the two streets at 11am today (Thursday).
